VEC was hired to remove and replace entire foundation of a 1914 residence. Foundation replacement also included raising the house 2 additional feet to provide a full first floor with an 8 ft ceiling.

Project required: shoring & lifting, demolition of foundation, excavation, forming and placing of concrete for the foundation, complete earthquake retrofit with anchor bolting, hold downs and plywood paneling. Project also included re-siding first floor as needed, building a second floor deck, and complete waterproof and drainage system for the foundation.
